ANT-Australia is established on 1st October 2008. It is completely a non-profit, non-political, non-religious organization. It does not focus on any particular religion, culture, language etc as it is well known that the Terai region of Nepal has its own identity of having variety of cultures, customs, and religion.

Our main objective is to promote and preserve the identity of Terai and teraians, awareness of different languages and cultural heritage of Terai.

Chhath Puja Celebration

ANT-Aus celebrated the Chhath puja again for the fourth time in Sydney. Number of people joined the puja held on 5th of November at Tempe Park. ANT-Aus has been continuously celebrating all the festivals of terai region of Nepal as a part of preserving an making people aware of Nepalese culture.

In Chhath puja people worship the god Sun as it is the main source of living being survival on the earth. The puja is done for two days. In this puja people do fasting the whole day. In the evening they gather at the bank of the river and worship the setting sun. On the next consecutive day they again gather at the same place and worship the rising sun. After this puja is completed and people break their fasting by eating the 'prasad' of puja.

As every year since 2008 ANT-Aus has celebrated the the color and joyful festival Holi in Sydney. ANT-Australia believes the term "UNITY IN DIVERSITY" . So, it is been celebrating diffrent festivals rejoiced by the various communities of Nepalese in Terai.
People come to the celebration party inspite fo their busy schedule abd get coloured themselves in the colours of HOLI. They were glad for getting opportunity to enjoy Nepali festival in foreign ground. Participation of more than hundred people indicated the huge success of the celebration organized by ANT-Australia.
